About Our Club
On May 16, 1910, a group of fifty-seven Kansas City leaders met for the first time to officially begin Rotary Club 13, the thirteenth oldest Rotary Club in the world. These leaders of Kansas City believed in the vision of Rotary’s founder, Chicago attorney Paul Harris, who imagined a club where members formed friendships, supported each other in business and served their communities with distinction.
Today, this vision is shared by the over 250 men and women of Rotary Club 13 where “Service Above Self” is practiced every day in a variety of ways including
- Opportunities for Fellowship and Making Long Lasting Friendships
- Recognizing High Ethical Occupational Standards and Providing Opportunities For Members to Share Their Professional Experience
- Providing Meaningful Opportunities for Service That Will Provide A Long Term Positive Effect for Our Community
- Advancing International Understanding, Goodwill, and Peace Through Club 13 and Rotary International Projects that Create Global Benefits
