Mission
Rotary Club 13 provides four avenues of
service for each Rotarian:
·
Club Service – strengthening Club 13 and fostering relationships among
our members, other Rotary clubs in GKC, and those in our Rotary district;
·
Vocational Service – encouraging professional
interaction among Rotarians and high ethical standards in business;
·
Community Service – providing financial and volunteer support for
operating The Rotary Youth Camp; financial and/or volunteer support for
district programs and initiatives; and other volunteer activities strategically
aligned with civic and Rotary priorities.
·
International Service – contributing financial and volunteer support
for Rotary International’s programs and initiatives.
Vision
Rotary Club 13 will epitomize
the ideal of “Service Above Self” to elevate human understanding, foster
goodwill among people, and achieve peace among nations.
Values
All that Club 13 members say and do
passes The 4-Way Test:
·
Is it the TRUTH?
·
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
·
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
·
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
Objectives
Rotary Club 13 will pursue
the following objectives during the next three years while retaining the
capacity to support each President’s goals, Rotary International initiatives,
and new opportunities that achieve the Mission, Vision, and Values.
1. Strengthen committees through realignment, succession
planning, improved communications and operations, increased member involvement,
and maximized volunteer capacity.
2. Identify and implement a technology plan that
ultimately reduces cost of communications and operations while improving
effectiveness organization-wide.
3. Determine the appropriate range of membership
expectations and align organization recruitment, operations, and communications
to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished.
4.
Establish and implement
a comprehensive marketing plan that increases awareness about our community
impact, fuels membership recruiting and sustenance, promotes existing programs, supports Rotary International
initiatives, and cooperates with other Rotary clubs in the district for mutual
benefit.
5.
Create a
process for evaluating current and prospective fundraising efforts; identify
and implement new mission-aligned fundraising programs that will sustain the
club’s operational and service objectives.
6. Plan and implement an assessment with
leadership from our most significant
beneficiary, The Rotary Youth Camp, to identify ways we can provide maximum
service and impact.
7. Identify opportunities to build collaborative
relationships between our club and downtown KC, and implement partnerships that
align with mission and vision.
