On May 16, 1910, a group of fifty-seven Kansas City leaders met for the first time to officially begin Rotary Club 13, the thirteenth oldest Rotary Club in the world. These leaders of Kansas City believed in the vision of Rotary’s founder, Chicago attorney Paul Harris, who imagined a club where members formed friendships, supported each other in business and served their communities with distinction.

Today, this vision is shared by the over 425 men and women of Rotary Club 13 where “Service Above Self” is practiced every day in a variety of ways including:

  • Opportunities for Fellowship and Making Long Lasting Friendships
  • Recognizing High Ethical Occupational Standards and Providing Opportunities For Members to Share Their Professional Experience
  • Providing Meaningful Opportunities for Service That Will Provide A Long Term Positive Effect for Our Community
  • Advancing International Understanding, Goodwill, and Peace Through Club 13 and Rotary International Projects that Create Global Benefits

Find out how we accomplish all of these things and how you can become a part of it by exploring this site.

Meet me at the Rotary Clock

The legacy of Club 13 includes thousands of children with disabilities and disadvantaged youth who have benefited from the Rotary Youth Camp as well as children around the world who have been recipients of numerous humanitarian projects. In honor of the 100 years of service, a striking Rotary Clock is installed in downtown Kansas City near the Power and Light District. The dedication ceremony of the Clock will be held at Noon at 13th and Grand. All Rotarians and guests are welcome. This commemoration of the service of Rotary Club 13 will be enjoyed by future generations and a new phrase in Kansas City will be "Meet me at the Rotary Clock."

Rotary Youth Camp Video

This Rotary Youth Camp video is a compilation of experiences and testimonies from campers, their parents, guardians, Youth Camp staff and counselors. The underlying theme is that the Rotary Youth Camp is a place for disabled and disadvantaged children to come and feel “normal” for the short time they are here.

Comfort Station - The 2009 $217 Challenge

This summer our campers enjoyed our new comfort station, including state of the art showers, bathroom facilities and three washers and dryers. The new facility should last us a half-century. The total cost was $503K. We have raised $246K. The Hall Family Foundation has offered a $40K Topping Grant once we reach an additional $217K.
