Our podium has featured speakers including Ronald Reagan, Lamar Hunt and Barnett Helzberg. When our Mayor or other civic leaders need to get out an important message about current events affecting the future of Downtown and the Kansas City area, there is no better forum than the podium at Club 13. Henry J. Herrmann CEO Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc. "THE MARKETS AND ENERGY - WHAT HAPPENED, WHAT'S NEXT" Joining the firm as a senior investment analyst covering the technology industries, Henry J. Herrmann began his career at Waddell & Reed in 1971. From 1976-1987 he was portfolio manager of the Waddell & Reed Advisors Vanguard Fund. He also managed the Waddell & Reed Advisors New Concepts Fund from its inception in 1983 to 1989. Herrmann was named president and chief investment officer of Waddell & Reed Investment Management Co. in 1987, and Ivy Investment Management Co. at its formation in 2003. At the holding company, Waddell & Reed Financial Inc., he was named CEO in 2005, after being named president in 1998 prior to the company's initial public offering. Herrmann also serves as CEO and chairman of the investment policy committee of Waddell & Reed Investment Management Co. and Ivy Investment Management Co.
