Membership - Individual

Individual new members may apply to be proposed by current Club 13 members. The procedure is:

  1. The proposer and an endorser submit to the Board of Directors the proposal and application card. This includes written permission to publish the applicant's name and professional classification to the club membership.
  2. Upon satisfactory report by the club's Membership, Classification & Qualification committee, the Board considers the application and, if approved, the prospect's name is published in the club newsletter.
  3. If no objection is received by the Board within 10 days of publication, the Rotary office notifies the applicant that he or she is approved for membership.
  4. Upon payment of fees and attendance at a membership orientation meeting, the applicant is considered elected to membership and the name is reported to the General Secretary of Rotary International.
Obligations of membership include a one-time initiation fee of $250 and a $90 contribution to the Rotary Youth Camp. The initiation fee may be postponed for those under 35 years of age. The regular annual dues are $775 and include the cost of the Thursday luncheon meetings. Dues for those under 35 are $657.50 and for Past Service (retired members) $260.00. These dues are pro-rated for new members for the months remaining in the calendar year.

  • Membership - Corporate

    Corporations with annual revenues exceeding $3 million are eligible for the corporate membership program. It consists of one regular membership and one honorary membership. The CEO/President Honorary Member is free of attendance requirements, but will receive all other privileges and opportunities of regular membership.

    The one-time initiation fee is $1000. Annual dues are $775, which covers both the regular member and the honorary member. Other members from the firm are invited to participate under the regular dues structure.

The CEO and regular member have access and exposure to a network of more than 500 members of the Downtown Rotary Club of Kansas City. Plus, the CEO and regular member are welcome at the Thursday luncheon meetings held at the Kansas City Club and featuring the best podium in Kansas City.
