Rotary Club 13 Membership

Every Rotarian shares the responsibility of seeking qualified members for unfilled classifications. In this way all club members can help their club achieve a full representation of the business and professional life of the community.

The basic procedure by which individuals are proposed for and elected to membership in a Rotary Club is:

  • The proposer and endorser submit to the Board of Directors the proposal and application card, including written permission to publish applicant’s name and classification to the club membership. It is the responsibility of the proposer to inform the prospective member of the privileges and responsibilities of membership and to provide the prospective member with the following benefits and obligations statement.
  • The Board, upon satisfactory report by the club’s membership and classification committee, considers the application and, if approved, the prospect’s name is published in the Buzz Saw.
  • If no objection is received by the Board within 10 days of publication, the proposer is notified that the prospect is approved for membership. The Rotary office will notify the applicant.
  • Upon payment of fees and attendance at a membership orientation meeting, the applicant is considered to be elected to membership and the name is reported to the General Secretary of Rotary International.
