Rotary
Foundation International Ambassadorial Scholarship The Rotary Foundation Scholarship enables outstanding
students to study for one year (in a country other than their own) as
ambassadors of good will on Rotary grants averaging around $18,000-$22,000.
The availability and types of Ambassadorial Scholarships
are determined by each Rotary district and vary from year to year. Applicants
must contact their local Rotary clubs to determine if and what kind
of scholarships are available, to ask about local application deadlines,
and obtain application materials. Applications may also be obtained
directly from The Rotary Foundation if the applicant has confirmed with
the local Rotary club that the kind of Ambassadorial Scholarship he
or she wishes to pursue is available. Initial application must be made through a local Rotary club in the applicants legal or permanent residence, or place of fulltime study or employment. Club-endorsed candidates then compete at the district level. District-endorsed applications are then forwarded to The Rotary Foundation for final Trustee approval and assignment to a study institution. The Rotary Foundation directly notifies all candidates of approved scholarships. Applications sent directly to The Rotary Foundation without club and district endorsements will not be considered. Rotary
