Club 13 2010 Election Results

 
Marc Horner received the call to serve as president-elect in the Club 13 elections for 2011-12.

The president for the upcoming year will be Ford Nelson, who was elected president-elect a year ago.

Other election results are as follows: Andy Beyer was elected to serve as treasurer; Mary Kingsley, Robert Thompson and Tom Van Dyke were elected to the board of directors.

Directors Dan Doty, Charlie Huffman and Janice Newberry will complete the second year of their terms.

Congratulations to the new officers ann directors. Club 13 thanks ALL candidates for accepting the opportunity to run for an office.

Marc Horner
 
 
      Marc is district manager of Crescent Electric Supply Company. He joined Club 13 in 1994 with the classification of Electrical Supplies - Wholesale. Marc has served as president of the Rotary Youth Camp Association, director of RYCA, treasurer of both Club 13 (2008-09) and the youth camp (2008-09). He has also served as chairman of the Rotary Camp’s Maintenance Committee for nine years coordinating all the work days at the Rotary Camp.

In addition to his camp duties, he chaired the Camp Enterprise Committee in 1998 and has served on the Spirit Festival and Vocational Service Committees. Marc was recognized as the Commitee Chair of the Year in 2000-01.

Outside Rotary, Marc serves as a deacon and elder at Shawnee Presbyterian Church; president of the Electric League of Missouri and Kansas; and president, Missouri River Club.

Marc is a Paul Harris Fellow and a K.C. Rotary Club Foundation Fellow.

Andy Beyer
     
      Andy is owner of Andrew S. Beyer, DMD. He joined Club 13 in 2005. He holds the classification of Dentist.

Andy had also served in the Rotary Club of Del Norte, CO for two years prior to coming to Kansas City.

Currently Andy serves as chairman of Membership Classification and Qualification Committee.

He has also served as a member of the Literacy Committee.

Andy has been involved as an annual bell-ringer for Salvation Army; volunteered for K.C. Marathon Race; participated in YORO’s; Dinners for 8; and Firesides. While not a golfer, he annually donates for the Golf Classic.

  Mary has been a member of Club 13 since 2005. She holds the classification of Advertising - Specialty Service.

Mary is an account sales manager with the J. Wilbur Co.

She has co-chaired the Vocational Service (2006-07) and Literacy Committee (2008 - present) and chaired the Women of Rotary in 2007.

She has served on the Vocational Service, Literacy, WOR, and Member Minute Committees.

She has been active with our work days at the Rotary Camp; Camp Enterprise table discussion leader and food server; Salvation Army bell-ringer; Gr. K.C. Day hawking newspapers; worked the Rotary aid station for the K.C. Marathon Race; delivered dictionaries for the KC Dictionary project, developed and ran speed networking sessions, and raised money for the KC Literacy Corporate Spelling Bee.
  Robert is a financial planning specialist, 2nd Vice President with Morgan Stanley Smith. He joined Club 13 in 2005 and holds the classification of Financial Planner - Business Owner.

He has chaired the Tyrotarian Committee since 2006 and the Golf Classic since 2007. He was also vice chair of Membership Development Committee in 2006-07.

He has also served on the following committees: New Member Orientation, Tyro, Membership Development, Downtown and the Rotary Youth Camp bathroom capital campaign. Robert also served as the karaoke entertainer for Camp Enterprise 2005-2007, work days at the camp, Salvation Army bellringing and YORO 2007-2010.

Robert is a K. C. Rotary Club Foundation Fellow.
  Tom is a partner with the Bryan Cave LLP law firm and joined Rotary in 2005.

He holds the classification of Law - Securities and is currently the chair of the Constitution/Legal Affairs Committee.

He has been a member of the Camp Enterprise, Downtown, Fall Golf Classic and Spring Golf Outing Committees. He was the Annual Golf Tournament champion in 2008.

Currently he a director with Johnson County Community College Foundation and the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Advisory Board.

Formerly he served as president or chair of Kansas City, MO Jaycees; Mayor’s Advisory Committee on Human Relations; KC Harmony; Big Brothers/Big Sisters; Official Board and Board of Elders of Country Club Christian Church.

Tom is both a Paul Harris Fellow and a K.C. Rotary Foundation Fellow.
